A training course to meet the needs of those who use any type of winch in their work environment or for personal purposes.
The course meets HSE requirements for training in the workplace. It is approved by LANTRA Awards, an HSE approved awarding body for vocational training skills and it is delivered by professional instructors who have industrial winch and rigging expertise.
The aim of the course is to show candidates how to plan and carry out winching operations safely. The course introduces a range of winches and associated equipment. You will learn how to select appropriate equipment, check it for safety, rig it correctly and carry out a risk assessment and safety briefing on the operation prior to putting the system under load.
