In association with LANTRA Awards, we have developed a 5-day course for potential and working horse-loggers.
The course is designed and structured to take the novice through all aspects of training required to produce a safe and effective operator in the woodland environment.

Whilst experience with horses is desirable, this course is open to anyone who has an interest in learning about horse logging. You will require to be of average fitness with no spinal problems.
Training is delivered by people who know what they are talking about. We have a vet and a farrier who come and talk to the course. The main priority is getting you hands-on experience though and giving you the background and knowledge to work safely in woodland either as a sole operator or together with other ongoing woodland operations.
We are the only provider of this training in the UK which is certificated by LANTRA Awards and is recognised throughout the forestry industry.
