Here at Craighead we specialise in combining the use of traditional working horses and modern cutting equipment to provide low-impact woodland and forestry management solutions ideally suited to small areas, amenity parks and other sensitive areas. Our horse logging Clydesdale and cob horses provide a realistic low-impact extraction method for felled timber. We can fell, sned and forward timber for you or even mill it on site to your requirements using our Logosol equipment.
Wesley, our Clydesdale horse, is also available for demonstration work at shows and fairs. A true gentle giant, he is always a favourite with the public.
As well as horse logging and forestry, Craighead Farm is also the home of Protec Training - a LANTRA Awards registered training centre providing an extensive array of the very latest in training courses for the land-based sector.
Course include 4x4, winch operations, and a full range of horticultural and agricultural based training
